The Redskins made me proud again by beating those loudmouth, god-forsaken, arrogant Dallas Cowboys in Dallas 26-24. I listened to 2 “scratchy” AM stations all the way back from Jacksonville and since the Jags are my AFC Team, My beloved ‘Skins are my NFC Team, and hopefully this year they will meet up in Tampa for Super Bowl XLIII.

So to all my LOUDMOUTH COWBOY FANS……….SHUT UP and wear it! :-)

TEXANS - JAGUARS

Posted by Capn' Chris Hill

Have you ever seen two fighters beat each senseless during a prize fight? Well thats what went down in Jacksonville today, as the Jaguars squeaked out a win versus the Houston Texans 30-27 in OT.

Check out the photos over on www.A7BN.com and the full blown Blog by Dr. Jerome at www.OLDSKOOL101.com

The Orlando Magic unveiled their new “threads” for the upcoming 2008-09 season down at a big media spread at Church Street Station. Nick Anderson, Rashard Lewis, Bo Outlaw, Dwight Howard, Stuff the Magic mascot and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer were on hand for the celebration. ***Dwight Howard #12 is wearing the new jersey - in florida (hehehe I had to do that one) :-)

Mosquitos be damned… we’ve now got a billion Citronella candles creating an inpenetrable barrier around the new & improved tailgate experience.  Not to mention the newly added Miller Lite aluminum pints.

Hard fought comeback win for the Bucs over Chicago, and a “back to earth” reality check for the Packers (plus Al Harris feeling Chris Simms’ pain), set up a great match-up between 2-1 teams this week.  Short tailgate Sunday (got spoiled by all those 4 and 8 pm games), for the 1pm kick… stop by and say hi if you’ve got a quick second.  Al Lopez park, next to The Fat Guys and their obnoxious printed/published gourmet menu, and full liquor bar (which makes us look like rookies).  GO BUCS!

JAGUARS - COLTS

Posted by Paul Hollywood

The Jaguars won the opening coin toss and for the second week in a row deferred possession to the second half. And like last week, when Buffalo marched downfield and scored, so did the Indianapolis Colts. Marvin Harrison was the lucky recipient and scored on a 4 yard touchdown. On the Jaguars first possesion they went 3 and out and looked bad in doing so. Both teams defensives held on their next possession and at the end of the first quarter the Jaguars had a good drive going that carried over into the next quarter, in which they scored on a 26 yard field goal.

On the Jaguars next possesion they had a nice drive with Maurice Jones Drew carving up the Colts defense. But the drive stalled on a failed 4 and 2 play by Fred Taylor. The Colts returned the favor until Rashean Mathis made an interception which resulted in a 61 yard touchdown for the Jags. On the Colts next possession they marched 74 yards and scored on a 3 yard Joseph Addai touchdown. The Jaguars opened the third quarter with a long drive which ended with an interception by Kelvin Hayden. With good field position the Colts drove down field and with Joseph Addai running the rock until Peyton Manning threw an interception to Jaguars defensive back Brian Williams.

The Jaguars took advantage of this turnover by driving down field on a big rushing play by Fred Taylor and set up a 6 yard touch down run by Maurice Jones Drew. The Jaguars defense holds the Colts on thier next possesion and the 3rd quarter ends Jaguars 17 Colts 14.

The 4th quarter the Jaguars have thier best drive of the game(and so far this season) as they burn up 12 minutes off the clock, but they only score a 21yard Josh Scobee field goal left the door open for Payton Manning to march down the field in less than 2 minutes to score on a 3 yard td run by Joseph Addai.

The stage is now set for the ultimate fantastic finish. The Jaguars now have just 60 seconds to march down to the Colts 35 yard line - close enough for Josh Scobee to kick the game winning 51 yard field goal. Final score - Jaguars 23 Colts 21

“all & all it was a good game!”

We will have a Grammy award winning story to come out of the aftermath! After 7 days people in the Beaumont area (80 miles up the coast from Galveston - Still have no power! Where is FEMA? Where is the Republicans stealing the Democrats “Change” buzzword. People need help now! and all I hear & see in the mainstream media that we are going to spend 1/2 TRILLION DOLLARS to bail out the Dumb “behind” mortgage companies who knew they were writing bad loans!

The Hell with is foolishness…..If we can’t help ourselves, who is going to help us when another Hurricane comes ashore!

Dr. Jerome (OLDSKOOL101.com)/ Mick Dolan (ROCK100DIZ.com) and the Captain - checking out the Jacksonville Jaguars at there 2008 Home Opener against the pesky Buffalo Bills. During the game the Jags pulled off a on-sides kick to start the 3rd quarter! Pretty slick Jack Del Rio! While watching the game Dr. Jerome witnessed a “Knock Down Drag Out Fight!”- OMG

Final Score Buffalo 20 Jacksonville 16

“All and all it was a good game” (If Paul Hollywood says that one more time, YOU can have his gig!)

Ahhh the smell of a public bathroom in the morning….

The Butchie Tailgate Experience will be in full swing at the Bucs (go Greise) vs. Falcons (kill that rookie) game this Sunday over at RayJay.
We set up camp in the City Park at Himes and MLK (next to the restroom pavillion)… plenty of food and adult beverages if you wanna stop by on your way into the stadium.  If I’ve passed out on the air mattress in the back of the vehicle please don’t draw on me with a Sharpie… take a Mojito or Landshark out of the cooler, and move along.

JAGUARS-TITANS

Posted by Paul Hollywood

On a perfect sunny day the Jaguars and Titans kicked off their 2008 NFL seasons. The Jaguars have  had a lot of bad history with the Titans  and on the first series after a great kick off return the Jags went three and out. The Titans  moved the ball  well on their first possession  but the drive stalled and resulted in a  48 YD Rob Bironas field goal. On the next series another three and out as Titans early domination on defense very impressive against the Jaguars. The Jaguars defense held the Titans and on the next series the Jaguars  offense finally got in sync driving down the field and even converting on 4th down. The drive stalls on two back to back penalties and two players leaving with injuries. On the next Titans posesion a penalty  and an interception by Gerald Sensabaugh which set up the Jaguars 1 YD tochdown pass from David Gerrard to Gregg Jones. The Jaguars defense holds the Titans to three and out and a great kickoff return to the Titans 34 YD line. Penaltiies again plague the Jags and good field position goes to waste. On next drive Vince Young finally opens it up with a  75 yard drive with two passes to Chris Johnson for a 7  yard TD. The next Jaguars drive goes well until a bungled snap results in a Jaguars turnover. Halftime score Titans 10 Jaguars 7. The Titans and Jaguars play battle of field possesion in second half  with the jaguars missing a 37 yd field goal attempt which looked good to me. Both teams defenses stepped up with neither team offenses being able to put any long drives together in 3rd quarter. The fourth quarter remained pretty much the same with both defenses dominating line of scrimage causing turn overs and  quarterback sacks. Vince Young has to leave game with 4:14 remaining replaced by Kerry Collins and tight end Bo Scaife made a big play to set up the next Titans touchdown  score a 1 yd tochdown  by LenDale White. The Jaguars scored another field goal  The defences took over in the end the Jaguars end up on short end Titans 17  Jaguars 10.
